owl observations

Please browse these limited-edition nightscapes: fruit of night owl and Colorado photographer Clark Schiring! The camera sees scenes differently once the light dissipates. Sometimes, entire landscapes change color as the bright sunlight gives way to soft starlight. The rocks and sands of the desert cease to emanate their harsh glow, in favor of moody, chilly tones. Certainly, the nighttime is a magical time to document with a camera.

These nightscapes depict Clark’s unique approach to low-light photography. Clark developed this skill in urban environments, often up all night. He eventually transitioned into nighttime landscapes. Clark loves the spooky loneliness that accompanies these unique scenes. It’s a side of the backcountry, or city, that few ever see. In addition to these moonlit, (or street-light lit) images, Clark loves capturing the stars of the night sky. Cruise over to the “Galactic Scenes” Collection to view these images.
