There’s nothing quite like a sunflower field, they seem to draw a smile from my face every time! While it’s true sunflowers do track the Sun across the sky while they’re younger, as they mature they stay facing due east. Photographers will appreciate this fact as it aligns the shot perfectly with the setting Sun, in the west. It was a bit of a challenge finding this place, but well worth it. The Sun along with its namesake flower are at home together, I was able to get set up and take this shot just before the Sun dipped behind the Rockies for the night.
